 I find that an occasional escape from the reality and pressure of work and other demands is refreshing and energizing like nothing else. One of the ways I find this peace is through these author's (and others) writings. The list of authors and works below is obviously only a partial list of the many nature writers out there.
I have found the writings of Edward Abbey , Henry David Thoreau, Barry Lopez, Joseph Wood Krutch, and Everett Ruess to be very interesting and I gain a lot from them. I hope you enjoy browsing through this list of some of their books, and maybe you too will find pleasure in their writings.
